Dandelion Books Exhibition

Last term, Digital Design partnered with local publisher Simply Read Books to create a brief for Print Design. DD05 worked with unpublished material from UK artist Matthew Porter and designed counting books aimed at the 3 to 5 year-old set. The publisher was so impressed with the book designs that he invited DD05 to display their final books at an event for Matthew Porter, who is promoting a new ABC book. In addition, a member of the DD05 print class, George Coltart, has been hired by the publisher to design the final book. The final design will be completed and sent to print this winter.
On Sunday, October 1st, DD05’s books were on display at Dandelion Books on Commercial Drive. Matthew Porter was in attendance, as were many children. A big thank-you to Dandelion and Simply Read Books for making VFS a part of the event! Also thanks to Danny Chan who documented the display for us.
