MobyGratis.com

It’s like 5 Alarm except from the guy who made that awesome video with Gwen Stefani. Okay maybe that video wasn’t that great but I happened upon this and thought that it might interest everyone. Instead of me trying to explain it all I will let Moby.

Moby introduces mobygratis.com from moby gratis on Vimeo.

I just went through the request form for a song and it was really fast. I only had to give a discription of what the project is and of the scene it will be in. It is currently being reviewed but I will update saying how long the wait was.

I finally got the approval for my request this morning. So it took me about 10 days to get approved. I don’t know if they have a lot of requests or the system is still getting worked out. They do give you the AIFF file upon approval. So for now the music is really good if limited in the size of library but if you did want to use this I would suggest putting in requests early.

the wait for the songs its just too long . Its fre but it makes the independent filmakers wait for over a week ,while they just want to get on with their projects.

mobygratis should put the files for download from the site without all the required bull@)# information . Just put a disclaimer that its not meant for comercial use , and let the music be used!!!

its a bullsh@#t service you are better of going to myspace and asking bands that you like to let you use their songs.
