Self-portrait done in Term2 as well. I made more than 2, but not really happy about how they looked. I seriously regret not having many photos of myself.

Hacky Sack

As DD11s, we developed the habit of playing hacky sack, therefore, in term2 my character animation is about hacky sack. I know most people have videos embedded and it looks nice. I’m just not so ready for that yet.

Besides, if you go to the site below, you can view my videos all at once. Plus, many VFS student work is up on Vimeo. It’s so easy to find amazing stuff. How nice is that!

Highly addictive and very time consuming. Not good for your eyes. I like it but not really a huge fan of putting it in flash or anything else, yet.

This is the magazine cover that I made for a contest for Print Magazine. The theme for the contest was Design Culture Youth. I wanted the cover to represent the process of conceptualizing and also show the young designers impact on design; something that has been around for a very long time. That is why I chose to draw the lightbulb on a stained parchment background.

36 Hour Music Video Slam from Shal on Vimeo.Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. But here’s a fresh (almost new) piece from Term 4. After working for 7 long weeks on another music video project, my team and I decided that we weren’t happy with where it was and where it was going to end up; so after a couple days of feeling sorry for ourselves, Jamie and I decided to put something entirely new together in the limited time that we had (about 36 hours). And the above is the result of that. I had a lot of fun making this and we were both very happy with the result we achieved in such a limited amount of time. Enjoy.
